About Us

The Saddle River Valley Junior Woman’s Club is a non-profit, civic organization that strives to improve the quality of the community through the efforts of a vibrant and dynamic group of women.  We are committed to promoting volunteerism for local, regional and state charities and outreach programs.  We are striving to create a social network among our members, as well as giving back to the community.

 

Founded in 1890, the General Federation of Woman's Clubs (GFWC) is one of the world's oldest non-partisan, non-denominational woman's volunteer service organizations.  It has a membership of 8500 clubs with 350,000 members in the US. 

The New Jersey State Federation of Woman's Clubs was born on 11/16/1894-when approximately 150 women representing 36 clubs met in Orange, NJ.

There are 46 Junior clubs, 203 Women’s & 10 Juniorettes currently in NJ. Junior Membership is a statewide organization providing education, training and interaction opportunities for volunteers who are committed to individual growth and community involvement, enriching the quality of life throughout New Jersey and the world.
